Description
312 Stainless steel electrode, also known as E312-16, is a type of welding electrode that is designed specifically for joining dissimilar steels, such as stainless steel to carbon steel. Rutile coating provides good arc stability, smooth weld bead appearance and ease of use. Tends to produce welds with a slightly higher level of slag and a medium penetration profile. Conforms to several specifications, including AWS/ASME SFA 5.4 and DIN 8556 E29 9 LR 23.
